Accident.

Everything started well this morning. I woke up early feeling fully rested and went for breakfast at mom's shop. After that I started my journey to KL with my trusty Modenas motorcycle. I was bright and chirpy. Along the journey I sang songs that I've prepared for this Sunday as I would be worship leading.

As I'm about to reach Nilai I saw a Plus Highway truck on the emergency lane. As I couldn't overtake the truck in time, I decided to brake to a complete stop before turning into the car lane safely. As I brake I ended the hymn which I was singing with a crescendo..."How great Thou Arrrtttt... Hoowww greattt Thoouuu ArrRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!"

Something hard hit me from behind and it threw me off balance. I skidded and landed on my left with the tar road inches away from my face. I looked up and I saw a motorcycle crashed towards the grass with the rider flung into the drain. My brain quickly kick into a damage control mode. I stayed still for few seconds, analyzing what was my damage while my brains racing to figure what has just happened.

I managed to pick myself up, and without looking I took out my Palm Zire from my bike container and start taking pictures as evidence. I don't want anything to backfire on me in case I were to report to the police. The rider was a Malay chap. He said that he didn't see me and the truck ahead. I say he was dreaming.

I ended up with some scratches on my left elbow and knee, and a injury to my right wrist again. (it just got healed from another accident two month back where a car banged into me when it tried to change lanes abruptly. Sigh). I'm resting at home and taking some painkillers I got from a pharmacy. (Why I didn't see a Dr for this is another story next time). Boy, my body do ache like it's been hit by a truck without painkillers.

Thinking back, I think it was God's protection over me that I escape with such a light injury. I could have landed landed on my right and cars would just run over me. But I didn't and the damage to my bike was minimal. Thank God for His protection over my life.

Would be working tomorrow. And I will be in KL again at night. This time I think I'll just drive the family car.

Picture taken while the Malay rider picking up his bike. The PLUS officers continues their business as if nothing has happened. They must have seen similar accidents thousand of times.

oh dear! next time drive a car lah. motorbikes are convenient but they really cannot offer you any protection at all. hmm, are you allowed to bike on the expressways?
