Mr. Bean's Holiday

Went to watch this movie yesterday. What I like about Mr. Bean is his classic but yet funny comedy acts minus all the sexual content that most comedy films like to use nowadays to cheat a cheap laugh from the movie goers.

This movie is a good watch to me because it feature some of his new acts of stupidity. I really had a good laugh when he did the street performance. Total classic and I'll still laugh if I watch that part again.

But unfortunate this movie also includes many very amateurish and shaky footages taken from Mr. Beans handycam (it meant to be part of the movie) and I get motion sickness watching it. Time to time I have to shut my eyes during the handycam scenes and peek once a while to see if it is over so that I won't get migraine in the cinema. Yet, I still have motion sickness after the movie after the movie and have to get my gf to drive me home after that.

Well, now at least I can tell people that this movie was so funny it actually makes me puke.

*I do not get motion sickness from car/sea/plane/superman's ride but only when viewing fast moving and shaky videos. Thus I'm unable to play fast moving games like Counter Strikes or NeverWinter Nights. And I'll puke in front of you if you force me to watch your family's holiday videos. So please don't.

Mukshin The Movie

One word about this movie.

Beautiful.

Just beautiful. I love this movie. Carefully and beautifully crafted to represents the true culture of typical Malaysians life here. And this movie does reminds of your yesteryears memories. Ahh...those naive and carefree days...

Honestly, if you are an artsy type, go and watch it. There are moments I was moved to tears. And laughed throughout the first half of the show with its witty jokes footages I think only Malaysians would understand. Kudos to Yasmin Ahmad for directing such a beautiful movie to the world.

Ahh..those palm trees...those childhood games...those shirts with holes...darn, makes me wanna cry thinking of my poor but happy childhood.

And that Malay song keep running in my head. Now I'm hooked to Malay classics songs. Double darn.

Spartans Here We Come!

Just finished watching this movie called 300. It's a worth watching movie. Storyline basically a BraveHeart genre but I like the camera angles, visuals footage and of course the solid curved men featured in the movie. That makes me so pumped up for gym later. Hehe. Annie would be drooling while watching this movie.

Watched it at TGV Seremban 2 cinema on Monday afternoon and it only cost RM6 per ticket! Didn't know it's cheaper to watch on a weekday afternoon. Will certainly watch more movies on a Monday afternoon now given the cheap ticket and the less crowd you have to put up with in the cinema.

Night at the Museum Movie

Went to watch "A Night at the Museum". Quite a nice comedy movie. Would give it a 6.5 / 10 though. A very 'clean' movie. In fact, this is one of the rare American Movie that you don't find any kissing scene at all. However, I find the storyline is a bit weak. It kinda bore you somewhere on the middle of the movie but overall its kinda entertaining somehow. You can watch this when you got nothing to do at home.

Sinking of Japan

Went to watch this movie after my gf read from the chinese newspapers' good review on this movie. My verdict after watching this movie? 4 out of 10 marks. Even though it has some pretty decent CG, the film edits were lousy and tends to cut off in the middle of a scene or song. Not to mention the lousy casts who both the male & female star has faceless expression.

Using cliche's from 10 years old movies, I was begining to wonder when is this movie going to end. And half the time I thought I was watching a documentary of an earthquake instead. But there is a funny part I couldn't forget. There was this scene where it suppose to invoke tears and romantic feeling of the movie goers. The scene shows the both the actors expressing their feelings to each other after an unknown period of supressing it. Suddenly the girl blurted out these words "Let's make love" I almost couldn't contain my laughter! And the guy was like crying and refusing a such prepositon. I was like, "What? You got balls or not? This chick is offering and you are not taking it? You got E.D. ah?

Lousy movie. Note to self - Don't trust any movie reviews from a chinese newspaper.
